Get in touch with the idea for your next hand-painted mural project. If possible, please include the size of the wall or type of surface (i.e. library column!). Sending a photo of your “blank canvas” space before our first creative conversation is ideal.
For a cost estimate, please contact Jeff Chapman for a free consultation regarding your mural project. After an in-depth creative conversation for the mural, either by phone or onsite, you will be provided with a written work estimate.
A contract agreement is included with the written work estimate. If you would like to move forward to the Sketch & Design phase, please return the signed contract, along with a design deposit, back to Jeff Chapman Art. The design deposit varies based on the size and scope of the project. Once the design deposit and signed contract are received, Jeff will schedule the project and begin work on designs for your school mural painting.
The actual design is achieved through a collaborative brainstorming session. For example, painting library columns requires gathering a collection of books and selecting which ones would look best together. Depending on the project, your design sketches may be simple pencil renderings, watercolor, or pen and ink drawings. The final design becomes a road map—not an exact literal representation of the finished mural. There may be adjustments to colors, scale, and composition depending on the onsite environment.
The painting schedule may be adjusted depending on your availability and location. Bottom line—your school mural painting will be scheduled whenever it is convenient and best for you! When the mural is almost complete, you will be asked to review the work to ensure that you are pleased and satisfied. Any final adjustments will be addressed before completing the project.
Final payment of the full remaining balance is due upon completion of the mural.
